Locally Grown, Organic, and Full of Flavour
Locally grown flowers. Herbs. Meat from local producers. Homemade cheese and freshly picked vegetables. Farm shops are scattered across the Vellinge area — an easy destination by car or by bike. Here are four worth discovering.

Den Gröna Fabriken
Elin Wrethov and Olof Broddesson both grew up on farms and for several years have been running the KRAV‑certified Den Gröna Fabriken, with a clear focus on flavour, quality, sustainability, and biodiversity.
The farm’s specialty is heirloom strawberries, prized for their exceptional taste. You’ll also find garlic, onions, asparagus, potatoes, and eggs — all fully organic, grown without pesticides or artificial fertilisers. Everything can be purchased directly at the farm shop or via the website.

Almaregården
At Almaregården, seasonal flowers share space with carefully selected pieces for the home and garden. The delicatessen offers more than 250 products — from fine cheeses and air‑dried salami to house‑made marmalades and preserves. And, of course, the farm’s own liquorice — made with natural ingredients, without additives or gelatine.
In the bistro, simple dishes are served, prepared with care and high‑quality ingredients. To accompany the food, you’ll find a generous selection of drinks. Almaregården holds a full licence and offers locally produced beer alongside an extensive wine list.

Annedals gård
Just outside Stävie, near Rängs Church, lies Annedals Gård. Its wide assortment brings together local produce and carefully selected goods from Italy. Here, you’ll find gifts, pots, vases, textiles, and potted plants — all chosen with a personal touch.
The farm shop naturally follows the seasons. Year‑round, several varieties of home‑grown potatoes are available, while summer brings freshly grown vegetables, pick‑your‑own strawberries, and flowers. Juices and jams are made in‑house, and crispbread, cookies, and buns are baked on site.
The farm shop was run by Christine Persson from 1992 until the turn of the year 2023/2024, when her daughter‑in‑law, Olivia Wraghe, took over both the shop and the cultivation.

Majas Cottage
At Lorensdals Gård in Eskilstorp, owners Petra and Pierre Jonsson have been running the shop Majas Cottage since 2012. Here you’ll find an inspiring selection of scented candles, ceramics, clothing, textiles, and the handmade Maja lanterns created on site. All in‑house products are sold in support of charitable organisations.
The farm is home to a shop, a bistro with terrace, and a theatre venue that can be hired for weddings, celebrations, and conferences — all set within a lush, garden‑like setting.
